Finance and Public Accounts

The finance and Public Account Committee is one of the accountability committees set up at the National Assembly.

Principal Mandate

The principal mandate of the committee is to examine the accounts showing the appropriation of the sum granted by the Assembly to meet the public expenditure and other accounts that may be laid before the Assembly, Assembly may refer to the committee together with, the auditor’s reports thereon.

It is also the duty of the committee to appoint a qualified auditor or firm of auditors to audit the accounts of the National Audit Office.
